Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef bones
  • 200 g beef sirloin
  • 200 g rice noodles
  • 1 onion, halved
  • 1 piece ginger, unpeeled
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Fresh cilantro leaves
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Lime wedges
  • Bean sprouts
  • Chili pepper, sliced (optional)
  • Hoisin sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the beef broth. In a large pot, combine beef bones with water, ginger, and onion. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
