Ingredients

  • 200g elbow macaroni
  • 150g sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 750ml chicken broth
  • 250ml milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  2. Add chopped onions to the pot and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the elbow macaroni and broth; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let it simmer until pasta is al dente.
  6. Stir in the milk and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
