Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef, cut into cubes
  • 200 grams cherry plum purée
  • 100 grams walnuts, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro) for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat and brown the beef cubes on all sides.
  2. Add chopped onions, garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in chopped walnuts and cinnamon; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the cherry plum purée, water, and season with salt, pepper, and other spices.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1.5 hours until beef is tender.
  6. In the last 30 minutes, add rice to the pot and stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. Once cooked, garnish with fresh herbs such as cilantro or parsley before serving.
