Ingredients

  • 200 grams firm tofu
  • 100 grams bamboo shoots
  • 50 grams wood ear mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: slice the tofu, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms. Chop garlic and ginger finely.
  2. In a pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms to the pot. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, add tofu and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in vinegar, soy sauce, and chili pepper for flavor.
  7. Thicken the soup with cornstarch mixed in a little water. Stir until the desired consistency is achieved.
  8. Finish by adding sesame oil and adjusting salt according to taste.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and enjoy!
