Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500g ground beef or turkey
  • 700ml marinara sauce
  • 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 200g whole wheat lasagna noodles, broken into strips
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and add chopped onions and garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef or turkey and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
