Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef chunks
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 750 milliliters beef broth
  • 200 grams peas
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by trimming the excess fat from the beef and cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
  3. Remove the beef and set it aside. In the same pot, add onions and garlic and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add diced carrots and potatoes, cooking for a few minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Stir in the beef and add broth and spices of your choice. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for at least 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  7. Stir in peas during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
  8. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving.
