Caramelized Shallot & Gruyere Soup

Ingredients

  • 4 large shallots
  • 1 liter beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of rustic bread
  • 200 grams Gruyere cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Begin by caramelizing the shallots. Slice them thinly and sauté in a pan with butter over medium heat until golden brown.
  2. Once caramelized, add beef broth to the pan and bring to a simmer.
