Hearty Beefy Mac & Tomato Stew

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 400g can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 250g elbow macaroni
  • Cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown 500g of ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Add one chopped onion and three minced garlic cloves, sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in one can (400g) of diced tomatoes and one tablespoon of tomato paste.
  4. Add two cups of beef broth, one teaspoon of dried oregano, one teaspoon of dried basil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bring to a boil, then stir in 250g of elbow macaroni.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for about 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated cheese if desired.
